August is here! Which means getting very very busy and giving my 150% to all my endeavors, not just doing my best when it comes to art, but balancing it with childrens’ schooling, activities and household responsibilities. I am excited, but also nervous if I can do a good job.
Let’s take a look at the first week of August:
I got myself a little treat at Terry Ludwig’s this week, took advantage of an amazing garage sale and added to my collection:
The sale continues for their mystery boxes, so fellow pastelists, take notice.
Only one painting this week, I am so so very happy with how it turned out. Sea is one of my most beloved subjects to draw, it is calming to my soul.
2. Make Art That Sells (my MATS adventures can be seen on instagram under the tag #greenrainartmats): Aaaaah, it’s getting closer and closer to MATS Creating Collections for Home Decor. We already got some welcome materials and I have chosen the theme and palette out of the three Lilla and Margo offered. I will create my first collection with one and two more will follow after the class is done. I am very glad I signed up for this class, since, apparently it will be the last LIVE class with Lilla Rogers and Margo Tantau.
The prep week was very interesting we were prompted with some exercises to get in the mood for Home Decor class.
It continued with picking colors for the collection:

We also created a fantasy shop look:
3. I continue my adventure in watercolor with doodlewash challenge

Next week will be all about my class, I hope to also catch up with my drawing from life challenge, continue with pastels and 52 weeks challenge. We shall see how well I can keep up.
